"Day One Patch" for The Nymph's Laugh
Only a few hours after having uploaded the initial version of my game-jam entry The Nymph's Laugh, I patched the game, not only fixing a minor issue with some badly framed text, but also changing the protagonist's walk-animations to make them less stiff, and even animating a little intro-sequence of him walking down the stairs, to better convey that this is where he is coming from (and that the stairs are thus of no use to the player's progress). Having such an intro-animation has been part of the plan from the beginning, I just feared that I might not have the time for that -- but it turned out to be a fairly small addition, and quickly done. Of course, the animation is not perfect, but well, perfectionism be damned -- even in all its unpolished roughness, this tiny intro-animation does a lot to breathe more life into the game.
